Payment
Top-up agreement
When the balance on your Rejsekort is below 50 kr, an amount will automatically be transferred from your payment card. Normally 300 kr. will be transferred, but you can easily change the amount through our Self Service.
The top-up agreement is entered into with the public transport operators behind Rejsekort. It requires that you have turned 18 and have a payment card.
The payment agreement deducts money from your payment card
The top-up agreement is a payment agreement that you enter into with NETS. The agreement charges money from your payment card to cover the activities of the top-up agreement. The payment agreement can be shared with others, e.g. your children, so that they can add top-up agreements to their cards.

You must activate the top-up agreement
If you order a top-up agreement after you have received your Rejsekort, please be aware that it must be activated by using your Rejsekort within the next 30 days, otherwise the order will be canceled.
The agreement is activated when you check in or place your card in a Rejsekort Vending Machine. However, please note that up to 5 hours on stations and 24 hours in buses before your top-up agreement is registered - it can only be activated when it is registered. If you have ordered a top-up agreement while you purchased your Rejsekort, then the top-up agreement is ready for use when you receive your Rejsekort.
If you would like to cancel your top-up agreement, it is easy to do so through our Self Service.
You can also call Rejsekort Customer Service at 70 11 33 33, and we will help you cancel the agreement.
Enter the information about your new payment card via Self Service. Log in and click on “Payment agreements” in the left-hand side menu, and then click on “Switch payment card” for the agreements affected.

Please note that you must pay the amount stated in the payment reminder even though you subsequently will update your payment card information, as the amount due cannot be charged to your new payment card.
If you have questions, please call Rejsekort Customer at 70 11 33 33 to get help.
If you do not update your payment card information, your agreements will be cancelled
If you do not update your payment card information, all of your agreements will eventually be cancelled. This means that you will have to set up a new payment agreement to reopen a top-up or renewal agreement on your card.
You can change the top-up amount if you log in to our Self Service or call Rejsekort Customer Service at 70 11 33 33. The smallest top-up amount is 100 kr, and the balance on your Rejsekort must not exceed 2,200 kr.

Prepayment
To start travelling, you must have a balance on your Rejsekort that equals at least the prepayment of the journey. The size of the prepayment depends on your customer type, which Rejsekort you are travelling with, and whether you have chosen to travel in first class. If you check in as an "Adult" with a Rejsekort Personal, the prepayment is 25 kr. If you choose to travel first class, you will prepay 180 kr.
→ Check out your prepayment here.
When you check out, the prepayment is deducted from the journey price
When you end your journey and check out, the prepayment will be deducted from the price of the journey. If the journey costs less than the prepayment, the difference between the prepayment and the price of the journey will be reimbursed to your Rejsekort. If the journey costs more than the prepayment, the difference between the prepayment and the price of the journey will be charged to your Rejsekort.
If you travel locally as the “Adult” customer type, the prepayment is 70 kr, whereas it is 25 kr. with a Rejsekort Personal or Rejsekort Flex.
Between regions the prepayment is 600 kr.
If you are travelling between regions with a Rejsekort Anonymous, you need to stop by a Rejsekort vending machine or a Rejsekort retailer to change the setting to “Travel between regions”. With a Rejsekort Anonymous, the prepayment for an “Adult” is 600 kr. for a journey between regions.
If you change the setting at a Rejsekort vending machine, the change will be reverted next time you check out.
If the setting is changed by a Rejsekort retailer the change is permanent and the prepayment will stay at 600 kr. for all your future journeys or until you permanently change it back at a Rejsekort retailer.
→ Read more about the prepayment for all cards and customer types here.
The prepayment per person depends on which type of Rejsekort you are using, as well as the customer type of the travellers who are checking in.
If you are checking in a child on your Rejsekort Personal, the prepayment is 12.50 kr, whereas the prepayment for an adult is 25 kr.
Balance
When you start your journey and check in, a prepayment will be deducted from your Rejsekort. Therefore, the balance on your card must be able to cover the prepayment for you to check in.
If a completed journey costs more than the balance on your Rejsekort, the balance will become negative. You will not be able to check in or start a new journey before you have topped up the card. If you have a top-up agreement, your card will be topped up automatically when you check out—and if you made a journey that costs more than the balance.
You can always check your current balance through a Rejsekort Vending Machine or at a Rejsekort retailer.
If you log in to our Self Service to check your balance, please that it may take some time since your latest journey until the information is fully updated. If you traveled by bus, it may take up to 24 hours before you can see the information about a journey, as well as the updated balance.
Rejsekort Personal and Rejsekort Flex
The payout will automatically take place 10-14 days after the card expires or is blocked. If there is a negative balance on the card when it expires or is blocked, you will receive an invoice instead.
