Dear Customer,

We hope that you are enjoying traveling with Rejsekort as an app.

Within the last 2 weeks, you have received an email from us informing you that we are updating our Terms and conditions and Privacy policy for Rejsekort as an app.

While working on updating the Terms and conditions and Privacy policy, we unfortunately discovered an error in the previous Terms and conditions, which is why you are now asked to accept the new Terms and conditions for using Rejsekort as an app.

Below you will find the changes we have made to the Terms and conditions for Rejsekort as an app, version 2.0, which apply from 20 June 2024.

At the bottom, you can read what options you have if you do not want to accept the new terms and conditions.

Changes in Terms and conditions

  • Section 3: We have specified that you cannot use Rejsekort as an app on Bornholm.
  • Section 3.1: We have specified that you must only check out in the app when you have left the last means of transport on your journey.
  • Section 3.3: We have corrected an error in the description of how we store location data in the event of missing a check out. Previously, we stated that this data is anonymised, but it is pseudonymised. Read more below and in the email, we have sent to you.
  • New section 6. You can now transfer discount levels from Rejsekort as a card to Rejsekort as an app.
  • Section 11. We have specified that you have the option to cancel your journey and check out without being charged, provided this occurs before you have entered the means of transport and before your journey by public transport begins.

Error in version 1, section 3.3

Rejsekort as an app only collects your location data when the app is open and visible on your screen, and between check-in and check-out.

In our terms and conditions, we have stated that if you forget to check out, the app keeps information about your location in an anonymized form - i.e. in a way where we cannot see that it is you who is traveling. Unfortunately, this has turned out not to be the case, as the location is only pseudonymised and is therefore personally identifiable – which means that it is stored in a way where we can see that it is you who is travelling.

We need to know your location, if you forget to check out, it is to be able to correct your previous journeys if it turns out that the app has registered your journey incorrectly, and we also use that data to minimize fraudulent behavior in the app.

To provide you with the utmost security we will change the period for storing this location data from 3 years to 2 months, after which the location data will be deleted completely. We will do this in an upcoming version of the app. Once the change is complete, the Terms and conditions and Privacy policy will be updated again.
